Working as National Production Program Director

The purpose of the National Production Program Director role is to lead the team which is responsible to support Franchise Owners throughout the United States and Canada to deliver extraordinary residential and commercial brand experiences to customers, Job Site Supervisors, Painters, and Production Staff. The National Production Program Director will report to the Sr Vice President of Leadership & Development.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical support for the Employee Model Strategic Change Initiative.
  • Strategize and prioritize key initiatives that support varying production needs of the Franchise System in conjunction with other teams including the VP of Operations.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team to execute and support production programs enabling consistent delivery of paint application services.
  • Coordinate cohesive program development and distribution with the Residential Sales Manager and Commercial Sales Manager.
  • Create and update paint application training leveraged by the Franchise Body in their businesses to deliver consistent workmanship that is simple, scalable, and in alignment with the Brand Promise.
  • Leverage digital distribution of the methods when possible and maintain efficiency when handling 1-off needs from the Franchise Body.
  • Either personally or through a team member, create, deliver, and keep up to date Production Associate Training to provide support to Franchisees in leading associates on production aspects in the field.
  • Track, analyze, and lead growth in Key Performance Indicators specifically related to Production.
  • Either personally or through a team member, work with Franchise Owners and Production Associates in better and more efficient production delivery on the jobsite.
  • Create and Deliver Strategic Job-Site Supervisor recruiting programs to support Franchisees in growing their production capabilities and improving retention of High Performing Production Staff.
  • Provide strategic support and tension to the production team via production goals related to year-end and long-term business goals.
  • Preparation and delivery of content for annual Conference and regular meetings of various stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors.
  • Continuous individual coaching and skill development. Additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Proven track record of achieving results through leadership of team members.
  • Proven to develop good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Has shown an open and approachable leadership style.
  • Is proactive and able to work independently.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to provide honest and sometimes difficult feedback to others.
  • Experience in franchising preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in the painting industry highly preferred, but not required.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel out of state/overnight (approx. 40-50%)

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including group facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, professional self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Highly technology-literate; ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Intermediate skill level in computer usage in various applications (MS Office applications, Internet, and Intranet)
  • Ability to work collegially and constructively with people at all levels across the corporation.
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and systemically, while also attending to details effectively.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work and stay centered and constructive during rapid change and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives.
